Aceh in 2005

This photo was taken when I was in the indonesidan province of Aceh, doing some mental ehalth training for an NGO working in relief and development following the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami. this was a moving sight, travelling out the coast road to the north east of Banda Aceh, a pedestrian crossing in what was then a total wasteland. It was very distressing to think of the thriving busy community that would have been there before the tsunami, I was told that where the young man is standing in the foreground of the photo there had been a school.

Douglas Bowman

Doing a Google search on the name it is probably not the same guy, this one seems quite a famous designer.

Templates

Interesting looking at the templates quite a few of them were created by someone called Douglas Bowman. I had a friend named Douglas Bowman about 15 years ago, a Scotsman living in the USA who lived here for a couple of years. Long lost contact with him but I wonder if this is himn????

Blogging

Hello on this the first fine day in Christchurch for a while. Except for Saturday. This blogging business is fairly new to me although I do have one other blog I look at reasonable regularly. A mate of mine started a blog a couple of years ago but it only kept going a couple of months. Overall it looks as if you could spend 40 hours a week doing nothing but reading blogs.
